Who We Are
Time stands still in Mameda with its historic surroundings dating back 400 years, when it was ruled directly by the Tokugawa shogunate. Our property blends right into an enticingly retro backdrop as it maintains a traditional look on the outside, however, you will soon discover that there is an alluring, romantic nostalgia inside that beckons you as you walk through the door.
For decades, our manager served the Japan Self-Defense Force (JSDF) as a veteran combat pilot, before continuing on as a test pilot for a domestic aircraft manufacturer.
His 40 year-long career took a drastic turn when he longed for something different; to host a place where people can gather together and be connected through food. Such is how we, Bistro Licht, began our journey back in 2020.
S tarting in February 2024, our new inn Auberge Licht will be up and running with a new aim to connect our guests through lodging in our cozy, humble abode.
We have three rooms available, each measuring 335 sq ft / 33m2, to deliver our most heartfelt hospitality to each and every one of you. We look forward to having you over at our Auberge Licht where our superlative rooms, elegant dishes and exquisite meals await you.
オーベルジュリヒトについて
400年前、江戸時代に幕府の直轄領として栄えた豆田町。
その街並みに溶け込んだ白壁古民家の扉を開けて中に入ると、そこはヨーロピアン・アンティークの非日常の空間。
店長は航空自衛隊の戦闘機パイロット、航空機製造会社のテストパイロットとして国防の最前線で勤務してきました。しかし、
「飲食を通じた人と人の出会いや触れ合い、、、、」人生で一度はそんな場所を提供する仕事をしてみたい。
その想いから長年握ってきた操縦桿を包丁に持ち替えました。
外観は日本古来の古民家、しかし内装は本格アンティークな店内の「ビストロリヒト」を2020年にオープン。
そのコンセプトを引き継ぎつつ、さらに宿泊を通じた人と人の繋がりを目指した舞台が2024年にオープンのくつろぎの宿「オーベルジュリヒト」。
ゆったりとした33平米のわずか３室の宿。
少人数のお客様に、こだわりの室内、こだわりの食器、こだわりの料理で心を込めたおもてなしをいたします。
